Prevent Identity Theft

Good Evening Residents, 

Your neighbourhood team would like to make you aware of an upcoming event at Savick Library regarding identity theft. 

Fraud is rapidly becoming the crime that impacts most people in the UK, and fraudsters have a range of tactics that they use against their victims. Fraud alone cost the UK around £193 billion each year. Identity theft refers to fraud in which fraudsters use a persons personal information, without permission to gain benefits or obtain credits. The biggest hunting ground for this is social media.

This event will be run by Lancashire Adult learning services on Wednesday 19th February starting at 10:00 hours till 12:30. To book your free ticket either in person or online at LCC events . Please bring your own tablet if you have one. 

The library has lots of different events including police drop in sessions. Make sure to check out their events on their website so you don't miss out.
